    Four of Pentacles

    Parigraha (परिग्रह)

    Possessiveness, Hoarding

Four of Pentacles. What are you clutching? He sits gripping pentacles—three clutched to his chest, a fourth hanging in the air above him. Security through grasping is insecurity. This is identification with possessions, ego clinging to material as if it were the Self. The city behind him suggests community he's isolated from through hoarding. Held too tightly, resources cannot flow.
